Lumière Place Casino is located in downtown St Louis and is a part of the Laclede's Landing district. The casino shares two hotels on property. The Four Seasons Hotel St Louis is rated #4, in Large City Hotel in the US. Hotel Lumiere is currently undergoing a 12 million dollar renovation.
The Casino floor is on the small size, but does offer 60 Table Games and 1700 slot machines. There is also a nice poker room with daily tournaments.
There are three nice bars in the casino. The HQ Center bar sits nicely in the middle of the casino and offers a nice escape from the action all around the casino floor. They have a nice selection of specialty drinks, bottle beer and a few draft beers.
The Video Poker bar is a bar in the corner nearest to Laclede's Landing. They have the best draft beer selection of all casino bars in the area. I think they have approximately 24 different beers on draft! If you love micro brew beer on draft, this is the bar for you.
Here are a few cool things many people don't know about Lumiere Place Casino. First, there is a huge tunnel going under highway 70, that connects the casino and Lacleeds Landing to Broadway street by the dome. I have parked in the casino for free and walked to Bush Stadium in about 15 minutes. The casino also offers a free shuttle to the stadium for baseball games. Currently you can be picked up at Valet drop off. I wish they would consider doing the same for Blues games.
There is also a really cool piece of art near the garage elevators and Wet Willies. This large vase like sculpture actually turns. Next time you walk by it, give it a spin for luck. Don't try to spin the one in front of The Wok and Ozzie's. This one was not designed to spin and will bring you bad luck if it does.
The sushi at The Wok is VERY good and the Honey-Chipotle Wings at Ozzie's are amazing. I have heard good things about the BBQ as well.
If you are in downtown St Louis, stopping at Lumiere Place Casino is highly recommended.
